There is no type of hunger like a breastfeeding mama’s hunger.
Breastfeeding is a physically and emotionally demanding experience that requires a tremendous amount of energy. That's why it's critical for nursing moms to eat nutrient-rich foods that can keep up with their body's caloric demands—about an extra 500 calories per day. It's also so important to stay hydrated!
The fourth trimester is a blissful, but chaotic time and it may not always be the easiest to make yourself a healthy snack on-demand. What is the best snack for breastfeeding mamas? These nutritious No-Bake Lactation Balls are a go-to for new mamas everywhere.
To make these No-Bake Lactation Balls, simply mix all the ingredients in a bowl, chill the mixture in the refrigerator for 15 minutes, roll it into balls, and store in your fridge. It's that easy! You can make a big batch and keep them on-hand for an easy snack on the go.
And, an added bonus is that one of the ingredients—Brewer’s Yeast— is known to help increase milk supply. YAS mama, let’s get “baking”!
